Frequently Asked Questions

Find quick answers to common questions about access, features, data, and security on the platform.

What is the UAE Skills Platform?

UAE Skills is a unified, data-driven platform powered by MoHRE & MoHESR that connects the dots from education to real labour-market trends. It brings together analytics, future-skills forecasts, program alignment, and student guidance - so better decisions can be made across the system, faster.

Who developed it and why?

It is an initiative by MoHRE & MoHESR. The goal is to close the gap between higher-education offerings and private-sector needs, improve graduate outcomes, and support national workforce planning.

Who can use it, and what value does it provide?

Government policy teams: monitor trends, forecast skills, plan Emiratization targets and training. Higher Education Institutions and High Schools: benchmark programs, align curricula, track employability. Parents of High-School students: guide subject and program choices. University and High-School students: explore careers/programs, understand skills, and plan next steps. Platform admins: manage users, data integrations, and monitor/audit usage logs.

How do I register and activate my account?

Click sign up and verify your email. If your organisation manages access, your platform admin will invite you and assign your role. Students & parents can log-in with UAE Pass

Do I need an invitation, or can I self-register?

Both models exist. Students and parents self-register. Government, institution, and school staffs are invited by an admin with permissions. Not sure which applies? Check with your entity's admin.

Can I log in using UAE Pass or other government credentials?

Yes, UAE PASS is supported where enabled. Your entity may also enable SSO; otherwise you can use your platform email & password.

What types of information and forecasts are available?

Real-time and forecasted job demand, skills trends, salaries, graduate outcomes, market-alignment scores, course/skills breakdowns, and program benchmarking - presented in dashboards tailored to each audience.

Where does the data come from?

Official UAE statistics and administrative sources, licensed labour-market feeds (e.g., job postings, wage signals), education data from institutions, and modelled forecasts. Data is aggregated/anonymised as appropriate.

What should I do if I forget my password or don't receive an activation email?

Use Forgot Password at Sign In. For missing activations, check spam then request a new link. Still stuck? Contact your organisation's admin or Support.

How is my data protected?

Role-based access, audit logs, least-privilege controls, and regular backups. Sensitive inputs are minimised and aggregated where required.

How can the platform help me make career or study choices?

See which programs map to high-growth occupations, what skills they teach, likely salaries, and "skills gaps" to close - so you can pick a pathway with confidence.

How does it support institutions in aligning programs with labour market demand?

Program pages highlight Skills Provided vs Skills Missing, alignment to occupations, and employer demand. Teams can adjust courses/skills and track improvement.

How can organisations or government entities use insights for planning?

Plan talent pipelines, training budgets, and policy using sector outlooks, regional demand, and skills forecasts. Monitor KPIs (e.g., employability, program alignment) and adjust strategy with insights from data.

The site is not loading, what should I do?

Refresh, try a modern browser (Chrome/Edge), clear cache, and check VPN/network. If the issue persists, contact Support with a screenshot and page URL.

Some data is missing or not visible, how can I access it?

Check filters/date range and your permissions. If it still looks off, your admin or Support can review the data feed/state.

Who do I contact for technical support or to request additional information?

Use the in-platform Help/Support link or your entity’s platform admin. Include your portal, page URL, and a brief description of what you need.

What are the terms of use?

See Terms of Use in the footer. Access and permitted usage follow your organisation’s agreement and UAE policy/law.

Can I reuse or share data from the platform?

Public summaries may be shareable with attribution where marked. Raw/licensed datasets and model outputs aren't generally redistributable. Check the Terms and Conditions, and your entity's policy.

Are there restrictions on downloading/exporting data?

Export options (CSV/PDF) vary by screen and role. Some data remains aggregated or restricted. Bulk exports are limited to authorised users - please follow licence and confidentiality rules.
